HELPING DOGS FIND THEIR FOREVER HOME
Our Vision
Our Vision
Shortly after getting married, my wife and I adopted our Rottie mix, Reese, from a shelter in Killeen, TX with every intention of her being an outside dog. Besides just being an awesome dog, she was incredibly willing/eager to learn and within a very short period of time was well trained enough that she was living inside our home… and has been there ever since!
She is the ultimate success story for a shelter dog and how I wish each and every adopted dog’s story played out.
While I love dogs in general and enjoy training them no matter what walk of life they came from, Reese kickstarted this passion for shelter dogs and helping them achieve their absolute best chance for finding success in a forever home.
Giving a dog basic obedience training
Finding a forever family that matches them in personality, energy, fitness, etc.
Giving that family as much information as possible on what to expect from their new family member
Now, the adoptive family and the dog both have the highest chance at having a stellar new relationship. That is my primary goal with 2nd Take K9. Adopting dogs from regional shelters. Training them in basic obedience. Re-homing them with a family that gives both the highest possible chance of a successful forever family.
